I’ve just realised I will probably never love any band more than I love The Ark because noone could ever put serious topics and light topics and my thoughts and feelings about the world into such amazing melodies - and look so dapper while doing it.

Some philosophers say that art brings together different aspects of life to create perfection, something that could never be achieved in reality. That’s how I feel when I listen to them. Yesyesyes, THIS, exactly. Lately I wished I could hear more on gender from them but then I figured they don’t need to sing about it because they smash the binary with each performace, with all of their outfits and every single bat of Ola’s perfectly made up eyelids.

And even though they’re about to break up I feel there is no end to their message about confidence and originality and authenticity and equality and criticalness except that now we have to swap positions and turn from passive admireres to artist and activist and generally inspiring individuals of our own.

“Now it is all up to you.”

(But firstly I have to pass my exams which means I need to stop wasting my time posting overly emotional fanstuff on the internet and get studying.)
